Great deal honestly. Not perfect but affordable and the containers are super neat. One key note, Humidity and moorish smell on the lower container but if you’re ok with it go for it.

The Haciendo Los Vagones del Río were exactly as shown in the images. The surroundings were beautiful and relaxing.

Beautiful property. Beautiful place. Just a short driving distance to the plaza for restaurants and shops. The place is pretty private, you’ll be next to the sound of chickens but are you really in Puerto Rico if you’re not ? lol host is attentive if you need any help. I definitely have this saved for another future stay.

We stayed for 10 wonderful days at Hacienda Vagones del Río a unique shipping container home in the Puerto Rico mountains. The location is fantastic—peaceful with beautiful nature sounds all around, yet just a short drive to town and stunning beaches. The home itself is creatively designed, comfortable, and felt very safe. We loved the mountain setting and the overall vibe. The host was responsive and quickly fixed a minor hot water issue we mentioned. A couple of small things to note: water pressure can be low during laundry, and the neighbors’ chickens start early (around 3 AM) and are quite vocal. We found that a simple fan at night helped mask the noise effectively. Overall, we truly loved our stay and would highly recommend it for anyone seeking a serene, off-the-beaten-path experience in Puerto Rico!

It was a very nice place, and we had an amazing time.

We were a group of 6 adults and 2 children, visiting the area ahead of attending a wedding in Old San Juan. My brother-in-law and his parents are originally from Mayagüez and familiar with the area, but it was nice to both have the beach in Rincón and the Festival de Chinas Dulces in Las Marias to visit! We stayed in the two-level shipping container unit, and for us, the sound of the roosters and the coqui was like our own natural sound machine that lulled us to sleep. The property is as described and seen in the photos, with very responsive hosts!

This place was really nice. The beaches in the area were AWESOME. Being Puerto Rican myself I found it difficult to find a restaurant with home cooked Puerto Rican food as most restaurants in the area cater to the tourist. But I did find one called Casa Linda. it was really really good food. the drive was winding up into the mountains but it was SO worth it. And the server named Eliaser was the best. locals were very friendly and there was plenty of markets to grocery shop. Neighbors raise roosters and they are up really early sometimes at 1 am but they didn't bother us. with our schedule we slept through the noise. I will definitely stay there again! It got me thinking of buying a house in the area or next to Aguadilla. I love the Westside of the Island over the east. I love the local side of things, I had an amazing time and stay!!! We loved our stay in the container homes. They were clean and comfortable. We traveled with another family so it was nice that we each had our own space. We loved the outdoor sitting area. We will definitely stay here again.

I would like to first make it clear that after many years traveling all over the world I’ve never written a bad review. It upsets me to have this be the very first time. If you have compassion for animals DO NOT book here. Our family works on a farm with all kinds of animals including roosters and they are all happy because they roam free. The neighbors very close to our windows have massive amounts of roosters locked up in cages. They literally scream late night into morning. I found it so sad to witness being an animal lover. I later found out from the host this is common due to cockfighting being legal there. This was her only response to us about the situation. I cannot understand how air bnb allowed this location since the caged screaming roosters are within feet of the bedroom windows. We had a late flight and arrived after 2 am and the noise began just as we were going to sleep with our children. Absolute torture for 3 nights. The only help we received was to get earplug

We enjoyed our time at this house. It was perfect for 2 couples to share and each have our own space. The containers do not connect inside, you have to walk around outside to get to the outdoor area if you’re in the lower level. Laundry in each level & good AC. As said in other reviews, there are lots of roosters that crow all day and all night. Definitely bring a sound machine to help with that.

This is a beautiful place. Unfortunately the lower unit floods when it rains, and they have probably been aware of the issue for a bit and they are still renting the unit out. There might even be mold underneath the flooring which can be hazardous. Next door neighbor has a bunch of roosters that like to crow at all times of day and night, if you are a light sleeper they WILL wake you up. This property has tons of potential and I know they put a lot of thought into the space, but the water issue should be resolved before having anyone else stay there.

This place was a haven. I had adult family in both units, and everyone agreed the beds were very comfortable. The patio was delightful and probably my favorite spot. It was peaceful and perfect for morning coffee, family meals, or lounging with a book. The hosts' attention to detail was very appreciated. They even provided new sink sponges for sanitation. Everything was very clean and looked just like the photos. We followed some of the hosts' recommendations for restaurants and things to do and had a lovely visit to Rincón. We were there during the dry season, so the river was very low, but it looks like it could be a fun place when the water level is higher.

Absolutely loved the place!!! Its peaceful, excellent for a little get away with a fun group. The river is like a 5 minute walk. Everything was really beautiful and clean, definitely would stay again!

Beautiful place with a lot of thoughtful amenities. Not only was it peaceful, private and spacious but it was clean, as if brand new. The hosts were very helpful, responded quickly, and had local suggestions for us. Hablan Español e Ingles, definitivamente unas duras! Gracias por la atención chicas.

Great location and beautiful set up! We rented the bottom and top of location for me, my husband and our four adult children and everything was exactly as described…the outdoor porch was great to have a talk before we all went to bed and having the two separate apartments worked if half of us went off to do something we didn’t bother the other half getting ready, but with the proximity of each other still worked out perfectly!! The location was close enough where we were staying if we wanted to head anywhere we were within a 10-15 min drive..Will def stay again when we visit my mother in law!

Overall we had a great stay! The space was clean, spacious, and it fit the description. Check-in was easy and host was responsive. The only thing to note for the light sleepers is that there are roosters nearby that rise early. Aside from that, I recommend the stay.

Excelente lugar. Me encanto y volveria de nuevo. El lugar super tranquilo, privado, quedaba muy cerca de los lugares a donde ibamos a ir.

Me estuve quedando con varias amistades en la Hacienda completa y todos quedamos encantados con el lugar. El lugar súper espacioso, por dentro y en las afueras. Definitivamente escogemos este lugar nuevamente si volvemos a Rincón.
